Obituary
De’Vonne Juneal Samson, 88, of West Fargo, ND went to heaven on March 13, 2023 surrounded by her family, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
De’Vonne was born March 5, 1935 at home to her parents, Obert and Alice Moen. She graduated from West Fargo High School where she was active in Pep Club, Band, and Cheerleading which she enjoyed.
De’Vonne married Richard Charles Samson on July 17, 1953 and to them 4 children were born: Lynn, Rick, Kim, and Tommy. Later in life, she gained 2 sons-in-law and 2 daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She especially loved all holidays, but most of all “Christmas” was her favorite with the music, lights, and trees. She enjoyed church, singing, the lakes, planting flowers, coffee with neighbors, but most of all her “Family” and spending time with everyone. Her “House” was always a “Home”.
Left to share her memory are her children Lynn (Bruce) Ramlo of West Fargo, ND, Rick (Sandi) Samson of Fargo, ND, and Kim Jameson of Sheldon, ND. She is also survived by a sister Diane Meidinger; and a brother Obert Moen, Jr.; several nieces and nephews.
De’Vonne was preceded in death by her parents Obert & Alice Moen; brothers Clayton & Denton Moen, sister-in-law Darlene Moen; son Tommy Samson, husband Richard Samson; and niece Kelly Brooks.
Memorial Service: Noon, Wednesday, 22, 2023, at Bethel Church in Fargo.
Visitation: An hour prior to the service in the church.
