DeLilah Volk

   DeLilah Ann Volk, 79, Mapleton, ND passed away on Thursday March 19, 2026 at Edgewood Vista Fargo, ND.

   Delilah was born June 24, 1946 in Harvey, ND, the 6th child of 6, to parents Arnold Sr. and Ida (Mertz) Seefeld. She was raised on the family farm near what was Martin, ND. She attended country school and then went to and graduated Harvey High School class of 1964. DeLilah met and married the love of her life Gerald Volk on November 26th, 1964. She worked briefly the summer of 1964 as a nurse’s aide at St. Lukes Hospital (Now Sanford), Fargo, ND. From then on, she worked and excelled as a homemaker which she was happy spending her life doing.

   DeLilah’s life passions started with her faith. A devote Catholic at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Casselton, she was active with the Ladies of St. Leo’s for several years. Along with running a house of four children, DeLilah loved sewing early on making many outfits for the family…including doll clothes. She absolutely loved to be outdoors and summers she was in her realm with gardening and her flowers. DeLilah had a talent for crafts and made several decorations and ornaments over the years. She also was an avid reader with a book at her side most of the time.

   She is survived by her four children: Kevin (Jodi) Volk, Bismarck, ND; Kimberly (Brian) Hammer, Detroit Lakes, MN; Keely Bratholt (Alicia Britton), Fargo, ND and Kieran Volk of Mapleton, ND; six grandchildren, Jared, Karly, Adam, Josh, Cody and Chelsea; two great grandchildren, Farrah and Wesley; brother Arnold Jr. (Junior), Harvey, ND and sister Rita, Bullhead City, AZ and lots of nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, parents Arnold and Ida; grandson Chris, infant sister Teresa; brothers Francis and Leon.

Visitation: Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Vigil Service: Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 7:00 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Funeral Mass: Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton, ND.

Interment: Thursday, March 26, 2026 around 11:30 AM at St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Casselton, ND.
