David Acinitos Obituary

   It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Ojja Acinitos, aged 62. David died on 24 January 2026, at Essentia Health Fargo, North Dakota. David’s death is devastating and brings a lot of pain to the family. His body will be repatriated to South Sudan, his country of origin, for burial. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.

   David Ojja Acinitos was born on 1 January 1964 in Loa, South Sudan, and died on 24 January 2026 at Essentia Health Fargo, North Dakota, due to a medical condition.
David was born and raised during the Civil War in Sudan. His father is Acinitos Odego, and his mother is Tereza Jode, who have both passed away.

   David came from a large extended family and was survived by his beloved daughter, who lives in Australia. His brothers, sisters, and friends will indeed cherish his memory and hard work forever.

   He attended primary and secondary schools in Loa and Nimule in South Sudan. David was determined and later pursued his college studies in Egypt, India, and the United States. Indeed, he was determined to build a better future after migrating to the United States in 1998.
   David was committed to serving the people and working with others. He worked tirelessly with several other organizations and, most recently, at Walmart.

   David was known for his kind and humble nature. As a devoted single father, he worked tirelessly to provide for and support his child, always putting family and others first. His strength, resilience, and quiet demeanor left a lasting positive impression on everyone who knew him.

   He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, dedication to his family, and the love he shared so freely. His life was a testament to perseverance and compassion.

   As someone who loves his heritage, David enjoys traditional dances, Gayi, Ayice, and singing at the church. He was sociable and enjoys the company of relatives and friends.
David Ojja Acinitos will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

   David’s family would like to thank you for your support during this difficult time. David’s death is devastating and brings a lot of pain to the family. He died far away from home, his family did not see him for years, and having his body repatriated to South Sudan, his country of origin, will bring closure to the family. He will be laid to rest in Loa, South Sudan.

   Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
