Darryl Prischmann, 87, of Glyndon, Minnesota, passed away following a short illness at HIA Heather’s House in Fargo, North Dakota.
Darryl was born on December 12, 1938, in Casselton, North Dakota, to Robert and Phyllis (Schmidt) Prischmann. He grew up in the Casselton area and graduated from Casselton High School.
In 1962, Darryl married Sandra Fogderud, and together they began building a life and raising their family. That same year, they moved to a farm near Alice, North Dakota, where they raised their two children, Tari and Jeffrey. Darryl spent many years farming and raising livestock alongside his father until 1979. After his father’s passing, he continued farming on his own until retiring in 1983.
On May 30, 1987, Darryl married Sandra Olson at Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo, North Dakota. Darryl warmly welcomed Sandy and her two daughters into farm life near Alice, North Dakota, where they built a life together. In 2003, they moved to Fargo and later made their home in Glyndon, Minnesota.
Following his retirement from farming, Darryl began a second career as an over-the-road truck driver, a profession he enjoyed for many years. His strong work ethic and dedication remained evident as he continued driving until retiring in 2023 from Magnum Trucking at the remarkable age of 85.
Darryl will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for farming and the open road, and his deep commitment to his family.
Darryl is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; his children, Tari (Craig) Webster and Jeffrey (Evelyne) Prischmann; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his stepdaughters, Melissa (Mitch) Osland and Jennifer (Ryan) Pierson; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Lois (Prischmann) Nelson along with many extended family members and friends.
