   Darren James Wall, 55, of Harwood, ND, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center, in Fargo.

   Darren James Wall, 55, passed away on May 23, 2026, after living exactly the kind of life he wanted, full throttle, full of laughter, hard work, good stories, and usually time to stop for a beer along the way.

   Born on May 23, 1971, to Roland “Rolly” and Wanda Wall, Darren grew up with a strong work ethic, a quick wit, and a talent for keeping everyone around him laughing. He graduated from West Fargo Community High School in 1990 and went on to build a life centered around family, friendship, and plenty of good-natured troublemaking.

   In 1996, Darren began working at Industrial Builders, where he spent the next 30 years working hard, becoming a mentor to many, and building lasting friendships. When fall rolled around, you could also find him farming with his cousin Kevin Paulsrud. Darren never believed in sitting still if there was work to be done or good times to be had. Darren also enjoyed buying things, fixing them up, and selling them, which brought him enjoyment during the winter months.

   On March 10, 2012, Darren married the love of his life, his “Pookie”, Sarah Wilm. Together they shared adventures, built a life full of laughter, and made amazing memories on vacations to Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. Darren enjoyed exploring new places just as much as he enjoyed making strangers laugh and finding the nearest cold beer.

   Darren was a true jokester who lived life to the fullest. He worked hard, loved fiercely, and never missed an opportunity to tease someone, tell a story, or brighten a room with his humor. He had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable, and anyone who knew him likely has at least one story that starts with, “You won’t believe what Darren did…”

   He is survived by his parents, Rolly and Wanda Wall; his wife, Sarah Wall; his son, Matt Baker; his brother, Dan (Stephanie) Wall; his sister, Angie (Randy) Spokely; nieces Anna, Lauren, Kate, and Brynn Spokely; nephew Devin Wall; and his mother-in-law, Linda Wilm.

   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Alma Wall and James and Viola Paulsrud; and his father-in-law, Robert Wilm.

   The family asks that guests feel free to keep things casual for all services, jeans and everyday clothes are absolutely welcome. Darren would’ve preferred comfort over ties any day.

   Darren will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever quoted.

   Visitation: Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

   Funeral Service: Friday, May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in Zion Lutheran Church, Harwood, ND, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

   Interment: Oakwood Cemetery, Harwood, ND.
