Daniel L. Fuerst (Beer Nuts) of Harwood, ND passed away November 10th, 2023 peacefully at his home. A celebration of life will be held December 10th, 2023, Noon-4pm at Scotland Community Church in Scotland, SD.
Daniel Lawerance Fuerst was born to Lila (Weisz) and Lawerance Fuerst June 26th, 1957 in Parkston, SD. He graduated from Scotland High School in 1975. He joined the Army in 1975. He married Christine Schenkel in 1977 and to this union was born Carolyn/Carrie Ann Fuerst.
Dan worked for Wilson Trailer. He was a truck driver for Prairie Lines of Fargo, ND for many years. He worked for West Fargo Harley Davidson. He also ran heavy machinery for the city of Fargo.
Dan was incredibly skilled at fixing all types of machinery, sewing machines while he was in the service, watches, clocks, motorcycles, toys, and anything else somebody wanted fixed.
He had a passion for fishing and hunting, with a highlight being a hunting trip to Alaska. He visited the Sturgis Rally and worked as a bouncer for many years.
He had an incredibly generous spirit and cared deeply about his family and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents Lila and Lawerance Fuerst, his grandparents Amalia and Salomon Weisz, Martha and Henry Fuerst, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is survived by his daughter Carolyn Fuerst and her husband Daniel Hanner; his sisters Dawn (Greg) Popma, Denise (Jerry) Willman; brother Dean (Susan) Fuerst; nieces and nephews Tiffany (Ken) Johnson, Alicia (Jeff) Nebuda, Michael (Samantha) Popma, Samuel Willman, Ashley Mork, Sarah Fuerst, Anna Fuerst, Jacob Fuerst, Lydia Fuerst, Andrew Fuerst; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His biological family would like to acknowledge his extended family, his many friends in Fargo, ND.
