Dana Johnson

   On May 9^th 2020, our beloved Dana was taken from us too soon, as he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Dana Johnson was brought into this world Dec. 6^th 1977 in Billings MT. Around the age of 3 his family moved to Fargo, ND where he attended school in West Fargo. After school he went on to work for Master Construction for many years and then the City of  Fargo.

   In 2007, Dana became the proud father to his son Peyton James Johnson. Shortly thereafter he met Sarah Thompson and in 2009 their families merged and became one, once again Dana became the proud dad of Morgan and Cheyenna Thompson. In 2012 they made their home in Horace, ND where the family still resides.

   Dana was happiest when he was with his family. He loved watching his kids play sports such as volleyball, football, baseball, and hockey.  Dana’s greatest love was coaching his son, Peyton, in hockey.  Dana’s friends were also very important to him. He was well known for his humor and teddy bear hugs. Dana would give everything and anything he had to his friends and family. Anybody who knew Dana would know that if they asked him for one thing he would give them two. He was loyal to a fault.

   Dana is survived by his son: Peyton Johnson; daughters: Morgan and Cheyenna Thompson;  his better half: Sarah Thompson. His parents: Keith and Yvette Johnson; siblings: Sandie (Mike) Anders, Jesse (Jocelyn) Johnson, Michelle (Jason) Furphy;  his grandma: Evy Johnson;  nephews:  Brandon (Garret), Justin, Andrew, Perrin, Tanon, Javen, Jayden and niece Emma; many uncles and aunts whom he adored dearly.

   He was preceded in death by his sister: Twyla; grandparents: Roy and Dodie and Grandpa Abby.

Public visitation, following the Covid-19 guidelines, 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
