Dale Lincoln

Dale Lincoln, 81, of Arthur, ND passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Sanford Hospital on Broadway in Fargo, ND.

Dale Clark Lincoln was born May 27, 1943 in Grand Forks, ND. He grew up on a family farm near Arthur, ND to parents Clark and Elizabeth Lincoln. He graduated from high school in Arthur and college at NDSU with degrees in animal science and math. While at NDSU he was active in the Farm House Fraternity where he made lifelong friends.

He returned to the farm and upon his dad’s death took over the family farm where his passion was raising cattle. He also worked for Warren Walkinshaw at Walkinshaw Aircraft where he was a flagger. After a little convincing by Dale, Warren taught Dale to fly which he enjoyed immensely. It was in Dale’s flying where he had many close calls and survived to tell a good story.

Dale married Phyllis Thompson on January 12, 1980 in Casper, WY and they raised a son, Cody. Dale loved to visit and could strike up a conversation with anyone and everyone. He also rode bike for some years for MS fundraising. Dale was active in his church, St. John Lutheran and served on the Cass Rural Water Board and local township board. In recent years, Dale was studying regenerative agriculture, listing to podcasts such as the function of mycorrhizal fungi.

Dale is survived by his wife, Phyllis; son, Cody; sister, Ardell (David) Strand; two sisters-in-law, Sharon (Wayne) Morris and Judy Steffes and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation: Monday, May 5, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Funeral:  Tuesday, May 6 at 10 AM at West Funeral Home, Casselton.

Burial: Arthur Cemetery.
