Cynthia "Cindy" Reppen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cynthia Rae Reppen, 71, who departed this life on Sunday, June 22nd, 2025, at Sanford’s Hospice House.  

Cynthia, affectionately known as Cindy, was born to Bernice (Neisch) and Elroy Nelson on February 12, 1954, in Moorhead, MN.  She grew up in Fargo, ND and graduated from West Fargo High School in 1972. On June 30th, 1978, she married James Reppen, and they made their home in Hazen, ND, where they had four daughters.  In 1983, Cindy moved back to Fargo where she worked as a Building Services Supervisor at North Dakota State University for 27 years.  Additionally, she worked part-time at Stop-N-Go and Casey’s for over 20 years. 

In the fall of 2017, Cindy moved to Halstad, MN.  She married Richard Danielson on March 18, 2019, and most recently worked for Halstad Living Center. After a battle with lung cancer, Cindy moved to Serenity Assisted Living in December of 2024.  While there, she enjoyed many social activities such as playing Bingo, Deal or No Deal and bean bags.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Richard Danielson; daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Renfrew of Mapleton, ND and their children, Aubri (Blake), Jacob and Tatum; daughter, Jessica Weiss of Fargo, ND and her children, Ciera, Devin and Danica; brothers, Jeff (Nadine) Dockter and Elroy Nelson; sister Brenda (Mel) Jacobson and many nieces and nephews.   Cindy was preceded in death by her twin daughters Rebecca and Roberta, her parents, brother Clarence, and sister-in-law Mary. 

The Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Serenity Assisted Living and Sanford’s Hospice House for the wonderful care that Cindy Received in her last months. 

Celebration of Life Service: Friday, June 27, 2025, at 4 PM, at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND, with visitation one hour before the service.
