Curtess Schlecht

Curtess Lee Schlecht, 68, Fargo, ND, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

Curtess was born in Mandan, ND to the son of Bernhardt and Anna (Fercho) Schlecht. He later moved to Fargo, ND and then graduated from West Fargo High School.

Curtess started his career at Dittmer Concrete Construction where he worked for 43 years. He enjoyed softball, the casino, going to the lakes and, of course, the Minnesota Vikings. But his biggest accomplishments in life are his children, Jennifer and Ryan from his first marriage to Terri Berglund and Samuel and Lisa from his second marriage to Mickey Jones.

He is survived by his 4 children, Jennifer Schlecht, Ryan Schlecht, Sam Schlecht and Lisa Jones; 6 grandchildren, Miles, Logan, Hailey, Isaac, Kinsley and Zane; siblings, Twilla Morgan, Debbie Nelson, Linda Dick and Mike Schlecht.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Berhardt; and siblings, James Schlecht, William Mercer, Ricky Schlecht and Donna Voracek.
