Constance "Connie" Marick-Fleming

   Connie, age 81, of Fargo, ND peacefully went to be with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday June 7th, surrounded by her loved ones, after a second brief battle with cancer.

   Constance Fay Softing was born April 12, 1945 to Irving and Anna (Berg) Softing in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was raised on the family farm in Rollag, MN. She attended school and graduated from Hawley High School, along with her brother, Tony Softing.

   Connie married Louis F. Marick on September 22nd, 1967. Connie and Buzz spent a lot of time with their friends from the VFW getting together many nights for card games and laughter.  They had their own special language for blowing kisses to each other every morning. Louis “Buzz” passed away in August 2018 after 51 years of marriage.  One of Connie’s favorite things to do was to get together with her many, many girlfriends, especially Shiela, Massie, who is like a daughter to her, and Pound Aisle 19 at Savers and other thrift stores looking for bargains.

   Connie and her husband Michael were introduced by Connie’s daughter, Danita, in September 2022. Connie and Mike had an immediate connection that is rarely found. They both shared the same values, God, faith, love for their families and had so much fun and laughter together.

   Connie was a beautician by trade and had her own beauty shop in Mapleton, ND for many years. Connie was a beautiful and fun-loving woman. Everyone who knew and loved her, adored and admired her. Connie effortlessly made friends as she was a caring, loving kind and bubbly outgoing woman. She was a faithful Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

   Connie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

   She is survived by her husband Mike Fleming; her three daughters, Coni Le (Lloyd) Teske and their children Steven and Triten, and four grandchildren; Dawn (Darwin) Garman and their six children Cianna, Daniel (Hollis) and their two children Skye and Patrick; Hannah, Tristan, Breanna, and Sabrina; Danita Marick and daughters; Jenna (Mike) Friesen and their children Maise, Olivia, and Riley; and Chloee (Ty) Fischer; brother Tony (Teresa) Softing; many nieces and nephews (especially Deon, Dustin and Darcy Softing and their families), and several great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Darin Marick, her husband Louis Marick and her infant granddaughter.
