Clem Cossette Obituary

Clem W. Cossette, 90, of Kindred, ND, died Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Bethany on University in Fargo.

Clem W. Cossette was born December 23, 1929, in Fargo, ND, the son of Alphonse and Yvonne (Fugere) Cossette and graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Fargo.  Clem served during the Korean War in the Army and was once married to the mother of his children, Diane Christianson.  Clem was employed by Gaffney’s in Fargo, repairing typewriters for over 40 years and then worked for Syncor, delivering nuclear medicines to hospitals until retiring.  He was a member of the Fargo VFW and also worked there part time.

Clem enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son, Tim. He was always hoping one of them would catch that big one, the “Wall Hangar” as Clem would call it. They spent many hours restoring old cars and doing construction projects. Clem loved all his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren so very much and cherished the fun and memories from the holiday gatherings and the hunting and fishing weekends! You could always find Clem where the kids were playing. He did Easter egg hunts, played in the snow, went swimming and he even let them drive his car as soon as they could see over the dash! Clem thought he was so sneaky when he shared his people food with our dog Sarg, but we knew what he was up to! Most recently, you could find Clem relaxing in his chair while he watched his family with that sparkle of love and joy in his eyes. Unless he was sleeping then he would wake up and insist he was not sleeping. Or he would say, I didn’t even know I was sleeping! Clem was one of a kind! He was humble, kind, loving, generous and loved so much. We love you and already miss you so much Dad, Gramps, Great Gramps and brother.

Grateful for having shared in his life, children:  Tim (Jennifer) Cossette,  Julie (Daryl) Braun and Deb Perlenfein;  grandchildren:  Shane (Robin) Perlenfein,  Traci (Ryan) Fingarson,  Brandon (Emily) Muhs,  Michelle (Mike) Weatherly,  Jeff (Jana) Muhs,  Cori Cossette,  Stephanie Cossette and Samantha (DJ Elliott) Cossette; great-grandchildren:  Brandyn and Lily Weatherly;  Amanda, Steve & Tony Perlenfein; Quincy and Kailani Cossette; Rainee Elliott; Hudson, Zayne & Dominik Muhs; and a  brother:  Rene Cossette; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Clem in death:  parents; son-in-law:  Al Perlenfein; sisters: Gladys English, Toni Walker and Evelyn Jacob and a nephew:  Steve Walker.

Funeral Mass will be held later at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, Horace, ND.
