Clayton Nedrebo

Clayton Larsen Nedrebo, 96, Fargo, ND passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND.

Clayton was born on October 25, 1929, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Bennie and Jennie (Larsen) Nedrebo. He grew up on the family farm south of Gardner, North Dakota, and graduated from Gardner High School.

On October 13, 1951, Clayton married Marion Lou Eggert in Fargo, ND. They made their home on the family farm near Argusville, North Dakota, where Marion had grown up. Together, they raised five children while farming and operating Nedrebo Backhoe Service.

Upon retirement, Clayton and Marion moved from the farm to Fargo,ND and later to Sheyenne Crossings in West Fargo, ND.  Following Marion’s passing, Clayton moved to Bethany Retirement Living in Fargo, ND.

Clayton is survived by; Daughter - Renee Iwen-Immer, Moorhead, MN; Daughter - Beth (Gene) Utecht, Mesa, AZ; Son- Todd (Kristie) Nedrebo, Georgetown, MN; Daughter - Tami (Shane) Lebahn, West Fargo, ND; Daughter-in-Law - Valerie Nedrebo, Fargo, ND; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; Brother - Kermit (Shirley) Nedrebo, Sister-in-law – Eleanor Hanson, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Marion; Parents – Bennie and Jennie (Larsen) Nedrebo; Son - Dennis Nedrebo; Brother - Morris Nedrebo, and his wife, Marlys; Sister - Beverly Levine and her husband, Lloyd, Joannie Jergunson and her husband, Douglas; his sister-in-law, Irene Walkinshaw and her husband, Everett; and his brother-in-law, Russel Hanson.

A special thank you to Stephanie Hodgson and the caring staff at Sheyenne Crossings and Bethany Retirement Living for the care and love for Clayton. Clayton will remain in our hearts and memories forever.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at West Funeral Home, with burial to follow. The service will be recorded and available to view on the funeral home’s website.

Burial: Clayton will be at rest next to Marion at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
