Charles "Chuck" Grossnickle

Charles V. Grossnickle, 70, of Dilworth, MN, died Monday, April 12, 2021, at Essential Health in Fargo. 

Charles “Chuck” Vincent Grossnickle was born in Fargo on October 19, 1950, the son of John and Alma (West) Grossnickle.  He was raised and educated in West Fargo, graduating in 1970.  Chuck attended the Wahpeton State School of Science for a time then was employed by Steiger Tractor and also drove a school bus.  He married Janice Olson in 1975 and raised their family, Shaun, Alissa, Robin and Andrew.  Chuck then was employed by Solid Comfort for 10 years manufacturing furniture.  On December 7, 2001, he began employment  with American Crystal Sugar working there until his death. 

Chuck enjoyed riding his motorcycle on long country side drives and woodworking.  His great loves were cars, eating barbecued ribs and his cats. 

Surviving is his wife: Janice Grossnickle of West Fargo;  children:  Shaun (Lolly) Grossnickle and Alissa Grossnickle both of West Fargo;  Robin Grossnickle (Nate) of Fargo;  grandchildren:  Ariel,  Kiara, Shaun Jr.,  Quinton, Devon, Zoe and Keegan;  great-grandchildren : Rose and Korradelia;  sister-in-law:  Deb Sifritt-Grossnickle  of Kindred, ND; a niece:  Michelle Grossnickle in California; a nephew:  Tim Grossnickle of Fargo;  a number of great nieces and nephews and many close friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Andrew; brothers and sister-in-law:  Jim and Lyle (Vickie) and nephew:  Jaime Grossnickle. 

Memorial Service:  2 pm Saturday, April 24, 2021, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. 

Visitation:  An hour before the service.
