Carlos Martinez

    Carlos Javier Martinez, age 28 of West Fargo, ND was taken home to our Lord on January 7, 2022.  

   Carlos was born in Cavalier, ND on October 19, 1993 and is the son of Martin and Rosa Martinez. During his childhood, his family worked in the agricultural industry and migrated between North Dakota and Texas. Carlos was well known for his work ethic and was always willing to help anyone who crossed his path. He earned his welding certificate and enjoyed his career as a welder over the past couple of years. Carlos was an individual who knew the importance of family and cherished spending quality time with them. Carlos was a strong believer in Christ, and he regularly attended Bethel Church in Fargo. He slept with his Bible next to his bedside and his strong faith was displayed through his humility and selflessness. He showed everyone around him unconditional love and support, going above and beyond to help anyone in need even before himself. His friends and family are extremely privileged to have memories of Carlos and he will always be remembered for his contagious smile and bubbly personality. 

    Carlos’ daughter, Emma, was the light of his life, and she always held a special place in his heart as well as the heart of his family.  

   Carlos is survived by his daughter Emma Annalis Martinez, siblings; Martin (Jessica) Martinez, Reyna (Erick) Martinez and Josue Martinez; nieces and nephews, (Sarahi Martinez and Bryan Garcia); aunts and uncles, Diana Dominguez, Dora Diaz, Patricia Dominguez, San Juanita (Mario) Dominguez, Estella Dominguez, Félix Domínguez, Eufemia Rosales Balboa, Mario Espinoza, Juan Martinez. 

   He was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Rosa Martinez, Aunt Enedina Garza Balboa, Uncles Ignacio Balboa Martinez, Baldemar Balboa Martinez, Pedro Domínguez, Clemente Domínguez, Jesse Dominguez, Mario Surita Sr., Guadalupe Domínguez, and Alfredo Dominguez. 

Visitation:  4 to 8 p.m.  Friday, January 21^st , 2022, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Funeral:  2 pm Saturday, January 22, 2022, at West Funeral Home
