Buzz Argall passed away peacefully on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Hawley Senior Living, Hawley, MN, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease & Lewy Body Dementia.

Ambrose LeRoy “Buzz” Argall was born in Moorhead on May 19, 1941, the son of Edith & Roy Argall. He attended Moorhead Public Schools & was in the US Navy. He married Carol Griffeth in Casselton in 1963. They have 2 children, Josh (Mindy), and Megan. They have four grandchildren Jaden, Carter, Jonah & Cora.

He is also survived by a sister Pearl (Rich) Anderson and many nieces & nephews including special nephew Chris Paulson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill, & sisters Eleanor (Sissy), Edith & Caroline who died in infancy.

Buzz was a parts man with W. W. Wallwork’s, owned a Mac Tool route, was a Cass County Deputy Sheriff & he and Josh owned AAA Commercial Lawncare. Buzz & Carol owned Blossoms Floral Greenhouse & Gifts in Hawley MN, for many years.

Buzz lived for his children & grandchildren spending countless days with them on Leaf Lake and on special vacations. Thousands of miles were traveled attending the performances of his musical kids & musical & athletic grandkids.

He was a “Jack of All Trades” & no building project was too challenging. He remodeled his Casselton home after moving the former Catholic Rectory down Langer Avenue to its new home on 6th Avenue. He built his lake home with very little professional help but with Josh at his side.

He was an avid Viking fan and found great enjoyment on game days sharing Vikings frustration with his family. In his youth Buzz was a great roller skater, making many friends & was courted by professional skating shows. He sang in the choir & was a Deacon at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Casselton, ND.

He was a pool/billiards “shark”, loving to play family members & friends and always ending up on top.   Carol & Buzz bowled mixed doubles with brother and sis-in-law Mary & Bill. Buzz also was in a men’s league at the Bowler in Fargo & once rolled a 279 game which was really 300 because he had finished the prior game with several strikes. After they moved to Casselton, Buzz & Carol again bowled mixed doubles & Buzz bowled in a men’s league for the Casselton Cold Storage team. They often qualified for & traveled to state tournaments.

Buzz was a member of Valley Vintage Car Club. He & Josh restored a red 1967 Chevy Convertible, pride & joy to them both.

The family wishes to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley & Hawley Senior Living for their caring and assistance.
