Heaven gained a kind, quiet, and gentle soul when Bruce Dammel entered heaven on March 11, 2025. Bruce was a passionate believer in Jesus.
Bruce Allen was born on April 30, 1956, to Reinhold and Agnes (Eissinger) Dammel. He attended elementary and high school graduating in 1974 from Tappen, North Dakota. He farmed with his dad and had a dairy operation at his place at Crystal Springs and was a lifelong member of the English Lutheran Church in Medina where he was baptized and confirmed.
He moved to Jamestown in 2000 and worked various jobs. In 2007, Bruce moved to Fargo, North Dakota and worked there. After an extended illness, Bruce moved to Bethany Towers in Fargo.
Bruce loved visiting people. He especially enjoyed it when family, friends or cousins came to Medina to stay and take part in different celebrations. He loved to travel to the West Coast and Montana to see the cousins. Bruce was a Christ-like person. He was compassionate, was never angry, and hated to miss church.
Bruce is survived by his sister Corene Geffre, brothers Terry (Linda) Dammel, and Jeffrey Dammel. Three nephews, Eric (Kelly) Speicher, Michael Speicher, Daniel (Lindsay) Dammel, and one niece, Kristine (Adam) Bommersbach, and 11 great-nieces and nephews. One step nephew Larry (Denise) Geffre, and two step-great nephews, and one great-step niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents Reinhold and Agnes Dammel, brother-in-law, Roy Geffre, and nephew, David Speicher.
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., in Faith † Journey Lutheran Church, West Fargo, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment: Thursday, March 27, at 1:00 p.m., in Medina Cemetery, Medina, North Dakota.
