Briana "Jo" & Declan Benedict

Briana “Jo” and Declan Benedict passed away on August 21, 2021, at her apartment in West Fargo.

 Briana “Jo” was born on October 7, 1999, in Bismarck, ND to Renee Benedict and Paul Case. She grew up in Bismarck, ND but moved to Fargo, ND where she graduated high school at Woodrow Wilson High School. Currently, she was studying Mortuary Science and Funeral Service at the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. Jo was expected to deliver her first baby, Declan, on December 10, 2021.

Jo loved her family especially her younger sister, Kennady, with whom she loved to spend quality time. Another important part of her life was her cats, Archie, Lil’ Man, and Sebastian. She was laid-back and enjoyed relaxing at home watching Netflix while also finishing her studies. Jo loved the simple things in life such as getting coffee with friends, going out to eat, and going on long drives. One of the best things about her was her giant heart. She loved to take care of others which is shown in her choice of jobs and future career and was the type of person to drop everything if you needed her.

 Jo is survived by both of her parents, Renee and Paul; her three sisters, Katlyn, Kennady, and Samantha; maternal grandmother, Doris Benedict; her paternal grandparents Judy Eckart and Jeff Case; her close friend Katie Walker; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by West Funeral Home in West Fargo. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, at 10 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. at West Funeral Home.
