Brady LaMont

“Those whom we love and lose are no longer where they were before. They are now wherever we are”

Brady Robert LaMont, age 32 of Fargo, ND, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2025 in Williston, ND.

Brady was born December 23, 1992 in Fargo, ND, the son of Jon and Shirley LaMont. He grew up in Fargo and attended Fargo North High School. He graduated in 2015 from North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND with a degree in Diesel Technology.

Brady began his career as a diesel technician for John Deere in Moorhead, MN where he worked for the past 10 years. Brady took extreme pride in his work and won multiple awards, including Diesel Tech of the Year. He had an incredible work ethic and most recently won John Deere’s Midwest Region Tech of the Year award.

Brady played hockey in high school. He enjoyed spending many years at the lake with family especially playing bingo on Saturday nights. Brady thoroughly enjoyed hunting with his dad and brother, Tyler, near Grafton, ND. He most recently went elk hunting in Colorado and Montana with his brother-in-law, Cole.

Brady truly knew it was more of a blessing to give than to receive. His generosity knew no bounds. Brady especially loved being around his niece and nephews.

Although Brady is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.

Brady is survived by his parents Jon and Shirley LaMont, Fargo, ND. Brother: Tyler (Andrea) LaMont; Fargo, ND, Sisters: Lindsay (Cole) Honl, Baby Honl; Moorhead, MN, and Brittany (Matt) Johnson; Moorhead, MN. Niece and nephews: Gavin and Kinley LaMont, and Holden and Leo Johnson. Aunt: Dolores (Merlyn) Grabanski; Uncles: Arnie (Barb) Lizakowski; Roger (LeAnn) Lizakowski.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, Aunts: Joan Schumacher and Darlene Lizakowski, Joy Bartlette and Connie Sondeland. Uncles: Ron, Dick, Lyle, and Gene LaMont. Cousin: Bryan Grabanski and Jason Schumacher.

Memorial Service:  2 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Hope Lutheran Church- South Campus in Fargo.

Visitation:  An hour prior.
