Bonnie Belle Stangler, age 77, from Enderlin, ND, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2023 with her family by her side.
Bonnie was born in Crosby, North Dakota on June 18, 1945, the youngest child of Elmer and Margaret Stompro. Bonnie and family resided in Portal, North Dakota. Not one to rest on her laurels, she got her first job at the age of 13 at the local Portal café. She graduated salutatorian of her high school class in 1963. She attended Minot Business College graduating with a degree in business.
After moving to Enderlin, her first employment was at Geeslin Book Keeping. She then started her career in insurance by working at People’s Bank, then to Leo Reis Insurance, and finally Tri-County Insurance.
In 1972 she had a daughter-Tricia Lynn. Bonnie married David Stangler on June 16, 1979 and later had a son, Justin David, in 1982. In her spare time, she enjoyed bingo, buying flowers for her yard display, listening to music, collecting, sports, watching movies, and later enjoying time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband David Stangler, Enderlin, N.D., her daughter Tricia (Jeff) White, Enderlin, N.D , son Justin (Kaylah) Stangler, Casselton, N.D., sister Shirley Erickson, Minot, N.D., brother Jack Stompro, Crosby, N.D., and grandchildren Weston and Eloise Stangler, Casselton, N.D. and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Duane, Jerry, and Mertie Stompro.

A visitation will be held Monday, March 13th, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 14th at 11 am at West Funeral Home in Casselton, N.D. Following the service, a celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Casselton Vet’s Club at 12:30pm. Burial will be in the spring at Alice Community Cemetery.
