Beverly Colby

   Beverly Colby, 92, of Grand Forks, N.D., died on December 31, 2020 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.

   Beverly Lois Olson was born and raised in Fargo, the daughter of John and Mary (Glasbrenner) Olson.  She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1945 and worked in the Manchester Building until her marriage to Donald Colby in March, 1949.

   She worked as a homemaker while they raised their four children, and after they were grown she once again worked outside the home, this time as a cook at West Fargo High School.  She also worked at Head Start for about 8 years until her retirement in 1990.  She moved to Grand Forks in 2018.

   Beverly enjoyed bowling, gardening, belonging to several card clubs, the V.F.W., and being a grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma.

   She is survived by her two children, Susan (Gary) Morris, Grand Forks, N.D., and Curtis (Joan) Colby, Billings, MT; grandchildren, Matt (Kaity) Colby, Sheila (Jeffrey) Morris, Judy (Peter) Hibdon, and Mike (Karee) Morris; nine great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; and children Gail Williams and Duane Colby.

Visitation: Saturday, January 9, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Funeral service: Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Burial: Saturday, January 9, 2021 around 3:15 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
