Beverly Battagler

Beverly A. Battagler, 72, Hunter, ND passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Sanford Hillsboro Care Center, Hillsboro, ND.

   Beverly Ann Piper was born April 16, 1953 in Fargo, ND to Irvin and Marian (Harmon) Piper. She attended and graduated from school in Casselton, ND. Beverly married Jerry Battagler on Dec 30, 1972 in the Canaan Moravian Church. Beverly then married Jerry again on Jan 1, 1973 because of a snowstorm on the 30th. They lived on a farm near Vergas, MN until 1981 when they moved back to Jerry’s hometown of Hunter, ND. It was there that Beverly became a CNA until starting a home daycare where she cared for so many children over many years.

   Beverly was an avid artist and crafter, hand making signs and art that can still be found throughout surrounding communities. She loved working with flowers, creating arrangements for friends, family, and weddings. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandma. She was a well-loved caregiver known by many as Grandma Bevvy. 

   She is survived by her husband Jerry, son Cameron (Jana), her granddaughter, three sisters Linda Boyle, Susan (Gene) Boyle, Mary Piper, brother David (Marie) Piper, and her nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many, many children that she helped raise in her daycare.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Piper.

Visitation: Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Memorial Service: Friday, June 6, 2025 at 10:30 AM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Interment: Family to do at a later date at Hunter Cemetery, Hunter, ND.
