Barbara Gensler

Barbara Gensler, 80, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Eim Care Center in Fargo.

Barb Gensler, born to Elmo and Doris Larson on June 9, 1944, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024, at the age of 80. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Barb met Howard Gensler as a young teen. They forged a bond that was never broken. Barb and Howard were married December 30, 1962. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, creating a warm and welcoming home that was filled with love and laughter. Her greatest joy was spending time with those she loved, whether it was gathering for family dinners, hosting celebrations, or simply spending time at the lake.

Barb and Howard traveled with their children and grandchildren. From driving through national parks, houseboating on Lake Powell, and snorkeling the blue waters of Mexico, many laughs and memories were made. They also explored many countries with friends and returned with more adventurous stories to share.

Barb adored her four grandsons and was extremely proud of them. They brought endless pride and joy into her life. She loved watching them grow, attending their events, and sharing their stories. She treasured every moment. She is survived by her husband, Howard; their daughters, Cristy (Todd) Graalum, Cathy (Steve) Selberg; grandsons, Jackson, Michael, Cole and Benjamin; sisters, Eloise (Calvin) Haglund, Kathy (Tom) Kuppich; brother, Bruce (Laura) Larson, and other close family members. Though we will miss her smile and laughter, we find comfort in our memories and love.

 Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo. 

Visitation an hour prior.
