Audrey Langer

   Audrey Zoe Langer passed away July 17th 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She fought so hard in the last 5 years of her life. In 2021 she suffered multiple strokes, a heart attack, and a seizure, then an almost 3-year battle with cancer. She will forever be known as the strongest woman a person you will ever meet.  Audrey was always a second Mom to all her kids' friends. Her grandkids were the light of her life, her sunshine.

   Audrey was born on September 1st 1963, to Donald Lee Hess and Verna Lee Hess (Meece) in San Bernardino California and was raised in El Monte, California, until she moved to North Dakota to be with the love of her life Kraig Langer. They moved to Mapleton North Dakota in 1989, where they raised two children Shauna Sue Langer (Maves) and Shane Allen Langer. Audrey gained another son and grandson when Shauna married Anthony Maves. One of the happiest days of her life was when her granddaughter Macey Zoe Langer was born.

   In her earlier years Audrey love to play on her softball team and she also love to play on her pool league and sing her heart out with her friends in the driveway, she also loved to play bingo.

  She will truly be missed by anyone who has ever met her.

Audrey is survived by her husband Kraig Langer,  her daughter Shauna Maves her son-in-law Anthony, her son Shane, grandson Zackery,  granddaughter Macey, sister Paula and brother Donald "Donnie" and her beloved dog Karma, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Donald,  mother Verna,  sister Stacy and her beloved dog Lacey.

Funeral Service:  1 pm  Friday, July 31, 2026, at West Funeral Home in Casselton, ND.

Visitation:  An hour before the funeral.

Burial:  Alice Cemetery, Alice, ND
