Anton Marquart Obituary

Anton “Tony” Marquart passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in West Fargo, ND at the age of 73 under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Tony Marquart was born on December 13, 1946 in Hague, ND to Simon “Sam” and Julia (Schumacher) Marquart. Tony attended school at Zeeland High School. Tony married Brenda Eiseman on August 16, 1969 and they had three children together, making their home in West Fargo.

Tony was a veteran of the Vietnam War in the army. Tony worked various jobs within the auto body industry, most recently at Galvanizers, Inc. before retiring. Tony enjoyed watching any kind of sports, hunting and fishing, gardening, throwing back a cold one at the Town Hall and testing his luck on the lottery.

Tony is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda, his children, Randy (Amanda) Marquart, Ricky (Tiffany) Marquart and Karee Marquart; 7 grandchildren (Trenton, Tyler, Bryelee, Taylor, Hunter, Kaden and Kendra); 2 great-grandchildren, Shanice and Alazea; sisters, Eileen Krumm and Phyllis (Joe) Silbernagel, and many nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents/stepfather, brother James, sister Rosella Engelhart.

Funeral service:  11:30 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND.   Please follow the Covid-19 guidelines.  Tony’s service will be recorded and placed on the funeral home web page shortly after the conclusion of the service.

Visitation:  One-hour prior.

All are welcome to join the family at the VFW in West Fargo after the funeral service for “happy hour.”

 

Burial:  2 PM on Tuesday at the Fargo National Cemetery in rural  Harwood, ND.  Due to COVID-19, all attendees will need to remain in their vehicles.

After the burial, there will be a gathering at Brewtus Clubhouse (4400 Clubhouse Dr S, Fargo, ND 58104) for food and drinks.
