Anthony Charles Suppa, known to many as Chuck, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the age of 66, with his loving wife Darlene by his side.
Chuck was born on November 11, 1958, in Fargo, ND to Anthony “Tony” and Maxine (Besette) Suppa. He was one of 3 children, along with his brothers Larry and Mike. Chuck spent all of his years in the Fargo/West Fargo area, where he attended school. Over the years he has had many jobs, most of which were in food services such as his time at the Old Broadway, Happy Joe’s, Juano’s, and most recently, Catering by Concordia.
In 1986 while living at the Svee Rehabilitation Home, Chuck would meet the love of his life, Darlene Goodwin. A few years later Chuck would ask Darlene to marry him. A moment he recalled “I popped the question at Mexican Village when I took Darlene there for Dinner,” Chuck said. “ I was nervous, but she said “yes” right away.”…“We were eating, and Chuck gave me a ring. I was so surprised, and so happy!” Darlene said. Shortly thereafter the couple was married on July 28, 1990. A marriage that lasted for over 35 years not only as husband and wife, but best friends.
Some of Chuck’s favorite things were the time he spent bowling in men’s league at West Acres Bowl, anything with being outdoors, such as gardening, walking, biking, and all things weather. But his favorite thing was spending time with Darlene, especially taking her dancing at the activity center, every Friday.
Chuck is survived by his wife Darlene; brothers, Larry (Beverly), and Mike (Kim); nieces and nephews, Kayla (Dustin), Cody, Jesse (Olivia), Courtney and Elizabeth; uncle, Roger (Cindy) Besette; aunts, Janice (Clayton) Kind, Karen (Bill) Bjerke, Gloria and Marty Besette, along with many other family members, close friends, especially the staff of Red River Human Services for their love and care of Chuck and Darlene over the years.
Chuck was preceded in passing by his parents, Tony and Maxine, and uncles Kenneth and Donald Besette.
