Anne Yeakai Obituary

Ms. Anne T. Yeakai was born on September 16, 1959, in Gbartala, Bong County, Liberia, West Africa. She attended New Georgia Elementary and Junior High School in Monrovia, Liberia. After completing junior high school, she enrolled at Booker Washington Institute (WBI), where she earned her high school diploma.

Ms. Yeakai was a dedicated employee at Whole Foods Market in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Renowned for her strong Christian faith, she was not only a committed worker but also an extraordinary individual. With a welcoming demeanor that could brighten anyone's day, her caring nature truly set her apart. Many people who had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Yeakai will fondly remember her positivity and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her legacy is one of compassion, joy, and unwavering faith, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

Our beloved mother, Ms. Yeakai, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Surrounded by her loved ones, she left this world quietly, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness. Her strength and wisdom touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by her family and friends. We celebrate her life and the love she shared, holding her memory close to our hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, John Yeakai, and her mother, Noarah Yeakai.

Ms. Yeakai is survived by her six children: Henry Paboy Gbarjuewaye of New York, USA; Patrick Monjue Gbarjuewaye of New York, USA; Jerreme Nana Gbarjuewaye of New York, USA; Ruth Koleeko Gbarjuewaye of North Dakota, USA; Joshua Bill Gbarjuewaye of North Dakota, USA; and Lusu Gbarjuewaye of Philadelphia, USA. She is also survived by several grandchildren, including Camar Gbarjuewaye, Tinzee Gbarjuewaye, Ameera Gbarjuewaye, Asher Gbarjuewaye, Liora Gbarjuewaye, Maurice Gbarjuewaye, Neejay Gbarjuewaye, Ujay Gbarjuewaye, Faybella Gbarjuewaye, Anthony Gbarjuewaye, Samora Peart, and Andrew Paker, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Ms. Yeakai will be laid to rest in Fargo, North Dakota. May her soul rest in peace, and may light perpetual shine upon her, providing guidance throughout her journey.

A service to celebrate Ms. Yeakai's life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 1:00PM at West Funeral Home in West Fargo, ND. Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Services will be made available via recording shortly after the service for those wishing to watch online.
