Anne Hersch

Anne Hersch, 71, Fargo, ND, died on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Eventide in Fargo.

Anne was born Anne Marie Tabler in Minneapolis, MN on July 1st, 1954, to Katherine Tabler (McCarthy). She graduated high school from an all-girls Catholic School in St. Louis Park, MN.

Anne grew up with an immense love for animals and dreamt of becoming a veterinarian when she grew up. That childhood dream eventually led her to St. Catherines University. Wherein she went on to pursue a degree in Nursing, which led to her first career as a county nurse in 1978. In her love for caring for the public and people of all walks of life, she started her 40+ year career as coordinator of Immunization, International Travel and TB programs for Fargo Cass Public Health. In 2019, she retired and received the Legendary Nurse Award through the ND Center for Nursing. 

Over the years Anne’s love for animals never stopped, from ladybugs and other critters as a kid, to the many beloved dogs over her life. The way to her heart was the love of a dog. After she retired, she adopted multiple senior dogs to give a loving home to live out the rest of their lives. Her retirement also allowed her to pursue her favorite hobby in earnest, quilting. She loved to create all sorts of beautiful and useful things she knew her family and friends would love. 

Anne’s way of showing love was most definitely cooking for her family. She loved to make your favorite meal, and it was always the best you’d ever had. She was an amazingly devoted mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly by her family. Anne is remembered by her daughter, Kali and partner Cass; her two granddaughters, River (12) and Riley (3) whom she loved with all her heart; along with the many loved ones preceding her and remaining after she’s gone.
