Anna Marie Korzendorfer, 87, passed by away peacefully on September 27, 2021 surrounded by her family in Fargo, ND.
Anna was born November 28, 1933 in Callaway, MN to Harry and Bernice (Beaver) Speten. She attended school in Detroit Lakes, MN, moving to Fargo in 1953, where she began working at Nelson Optical. She then worked for the North Dakota Grain Dealers Association from 1969 until she retired in 1999. She enjoyed her career, earning several awards/acknowledgements, and was named Woman of the Year in 1971-72 by the American Business Woman’s Association. She was also elected President of the American Business Woman’s Association in 1970.
Ann was well known for her beautiful flower gardens and wonderfully maintained yard. She loved gardening and especially enjoyed planting new varieties of flowers. Her yard was heralded as one of the most beautiful in her Fargo neighborhood.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy (Randy) Haugen, son David Korzendorfer; brother Harry Speten of Peoria, IL, 2 nieces, Kellyann and Colleen, 2 nephews, Shane and Derek, of IL; granddaughters Victoria Haugen, Jolene (Peter) Ferguson, Melissa Haugen; 6 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Ann was so loved by all of her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
Memorial Service: 2 pm Thursday, October 7, 2021, at West Funeral Home Chapel in West Fargo.
Visitation: An hour prior to the service.
