Alvin Wolf

Alvin Wolf, 85, Embden, ND, died on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023 at Elim Care Center in Fargo, ND.

Alvin John Wolf was born August 11, 1938 at Gackle, ND the son of Richard and Anna (Gumke) Wolf.  On June 7, 1962 he married Renee Kresse at Canaan Moravian Church in rural Davenport, ND.  Alvin worked at the Steiger Tractor in Fargo and later Chaffee-Lynchburg Elevator until his retirement in 2004.  He was a lifetime resident of North Dakota.

He is survived by four children, Michelle (David) Martin, Wheatland, ND, Lisa (Jon) Baumler, Chaffee, ND, Tiffany (Mike) McKinnon, Embden, ND, and Brandon (Corene) Wolf, Casselton, ND; 12 grandchildren, Trevor (Samantha) Martin and their son, Bridger, Mariah Martin and her daughter, Emery, Megan (Eric) Bachmeier, Madison Baumler, Matthew (fiancé Ashley Honl) Baumler, MacKenzie McKinnon, Kade McKinnon, Kailey McKinnon, Tevan Thompson, Zoe and Kohlee Herringer and Ava Iverson; siblings, Shirley Stensrud, Marie Anderson, Darlene (Jerry) Zimney, Clarence (Gertie) Wolf and Ed Wolf; and special friend, Jerry Discher.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife Renee; a son Danny; infant daughter; granddaughter, Tessa Wolf; sister, Violena (Donald) Becken; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Wolf; and brother-in-law, Don Stensrud.

Visitation: Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023 from 4 to 5 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND with burial following at the Buffalo Cemetery.
