Alma Grosz, 92, of West Fargo, ND, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Sanford Hospice House in Fargo.
Alma was born on April 21, 1930, in Hague, ND to Adam and Mary (Grensteiner) Geffre. She grew up in the Hague area and attended country school near there. Alma married Leo Grosz on October 4, 1949, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hague, ND. They lived in various locations across North Dakota due to Leo’s work. Alma was employed as a supervisor for Davon Press in West Fargo.
She enjoyed baking, spending time in her flower garden and attending exercising classes at the YMCA and Sheyenne Crossings and socializing.
Surviving are her children: Kenneth (LaVonne) of West Fargo, Shirley Sjue of Big Toad Lake, MN, Sheila (Randy Burt) Milton of Farmington, MN and Shelly (Glen) Matson of Moorhead; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters: Agnes Wald of Linton, ND and Irene Zacher of Rapid City, SD.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband: Leo; sons: Melvin and Leo; brothers: Ed and Ray Geffre; sister: MaryAnn Pfliger and son-in-law: Erik Sjue.
Alma was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Memorials are preferred to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo.
Persons attending are invited to wear purple, Alma’s favorite color.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Fargo.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
Burial: Holy Cross Cemetery-North, in Fargo.
