Adeline Murch

Adeline Murch, 90, of Hunter, ND passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Bethany on 42nd in Fargo, ND where she resided that past few weeks.

Adeline Bry was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Northwood, ND to Ole and Esther (Hegre) Bry. She attended school in Northwood and moved to Arthur when she was 17 years old where she worked as a housekeeper for Lloyd and Adeline Williams. She soon met Lloyd Murch and they were married on Nov. 4, 1950 in Moorhead, MN. They made their home on a farm in section 2 of Arthur Township and in 1969, they moved to their own farm where they resided since. Lloyd and Adeline farmed and raised cattle for many years.

Adeline worked side by side with her husband, tended her garden, fed the birds and was known to many as the “lefse lady.” She cherished time with her grandchildren and also volunteered helping residents at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur.

She is survived by two sons, Timothy of Hunter and Marty (Cheryl) of Hunter; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Diana Cahlander.

Adeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lloyd; grandson, Matthew; and siblings, Mildred Quale, Otis Bry, Allen Bry, Roy Bry, Raymond Bry and Clifford Bry.

Visitation: Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at West Funeral Home, Casselton, ND.

Funeral:  Friday, March 24 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, Casselton with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Arthur Cemetery.
