Terry Poer

Terry Poer 80, Fargo, passed away on Saturday, May 26 at Essentia Hospital of natural causes.

Terry was born August 27,1937, son of Joseph and Genevieve (Devine) Poer in Fort Dodge, IA.  He moved to Fargo, ND at the age of 4 and attended Fargo schools where he graduated in 1957. Following graduation, he started working for The Fargo Forum continued on to work for Pierce Printing and Pam Oil and then retired from Fleet Farm working in security.

In his early years he played in a softball league and was an excellent pool player, which he won many games.

After retiring from Fleet Farm, Terry enjoyed his retirement traveling with Ruth to the Canadian Rockies and Deadwood. Terry and Ruth enjoyed a long life together with their fur babies Catachewie and Squeaks. Terry also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He always had a smile whenever you saw him. Babies loved him! Terry was a great friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his partner Ruth Sharp, daughters Tracy (Rob), Terry Jo "TJ" Poer, Tami Brown, Sheri Jenner (Bruce), Terry Lee Brown (Robyn); step-daughters Simi Sharp (Johnny Tardo) and Susie Sharp (Don Olds); several grandkids, great-grandkids, great- great-grandkids and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Genevieve, four brothers, and granddaughters Crystal and Nicole.

Visitation:  Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Memorial Service:  Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.
