Scott English

Scott English, 70, of West Fargo, ND, formerly of Boise, ID, died Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Villa Maria in Fargo under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.

Scott Winfield English was born June 28, 1947, at Fargo, to Roland and Zona (Rockne) English.  He was from a military family and raised in Fargo, San Diego, CA, Japan and graduated 1965 from high school in Boise, ID.  He also attended Boise State College.  Scott spent 23 ½ years in the Navy as a meteorologist on ships, also served as part of security teams and Fire Chief of the day.  Scott married June Elaine Tanner at Spokane, WA in 1971.  After discharge from the Navy, Scott spent 7 years working for Boise State University and in 2008 relocated to West Fargo.

Scott enjoyed fishing and made his own lures.  He was a member of the Harwood American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dawn Elaine English; granddaughter, Kyleigh Elaine English and a sister, Stephanie Zoe Young.

Scott is survived by his niece, Tiffany Young; nephews, Troy Young and Tyrone Young; brother-in-law, Robert Young as well as numerous cousins and extended family members.

Scott’s family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley and staff at Villa Maria for their care.

Memorial Service:      Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 3 pm at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior to the service.
