Reberta Krauth

Reberta J. Krauth, age 68, of West Fargo, ND, died Friday, August 9, 2019, at Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Reberta Joy Charles was born May 5, 1951, the daughter of Gordon and Joy (Kramer) Charles.  She was born in their home at Onalaska, Wisconsin, delivered by a midwife.   She lived in Onalaska and Black River Falls, WI, followed by Anoka, MN, Moorhead. MN, and finally Barnesville, MN while growing up. 

On June 6, 1968, she first dated Terry Krauth, only because another girl had her eye on him!  They were married August 14, 1971 at Barnesville and spent the next 48 years together.  They have lived in Anoka, MN, and La Crosse, WI, and then West Fargo, where they have lived 46 years. 

Reberta operated Another Bite Catering for many years, and during that time, the company served many celebrities and important people that quietly flew into the Fargo Jet Center.  Her family benefited from her love of cooking and baking.   Reberta enjoyed looking at and buying cookbooks (30+) and making the new recipes she discovered.  Yet with access to all those recipes, her favorite meal was Tater Tot hotdish, using Terry’s recipe!  She also operated a home daycare for over 40 years and was “Mom” to many children.  Reberta was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and helped at many church events.   Her family remembers her love of cats and dogs, sunsets, rain showers, flowers, shopping, watching cooking shows, family mealtimes and Holiday get-togethers.  She also loved to decorate for Christmas, which included setting out her 42 Nativity sets!

She leaves her husband Terry; daughter Teri “NaeNae” Krauth, West Fargo; two sons, Cory Krauth of West Fargo and Ben (Thea) Brown of Tucson, AZ: 5 grandchildren, Virginia, Lexi, Natalie, Savanna, and Marissa; 4 great-grandchildren Aubrey and Emily, and unborn twins.  Also, two brothers John (Laura) Charles and Robert Charles; two sisters Verna Hill and Laura Charles; many nieces and nephews; and her countless daycare kids.

Reberta was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation:  5 – 7 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2019, with a Prayer Service held at 7 p.m., all in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, West Fargo 

Mass of Christian Burial:  10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Blessed Sacrament.
