Ramona Paul

Ramona Paul, 85, Farmington, MN, formerly Buffalo, ND, died in loving presence of her family on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Ramona Beverly Peterson was born on September 5, 1931 in Breckenridge, MN to Jalmer and Bernice (Loberg) Peterson.  She grew up in McLeod, ND and later West Fargo, ND where she graduated from high school.  She married George Christiansen in 1951 and worked at West Fargo State Bank.  She married Dale Paul on May 18, 1963 in West Fargo.  They made their home near Buffalo, ND where they farmed.  They moved to Fargo in 2010.  Dale and Ramona celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2013 just six months prior to his passing. In 2016, Ramona moved to Farmington to live with her daughter.

Ramona was part of the Pep and Progress Homemakers Club, Naomi Circle and Bible study groups.  She enjoyed sewing and traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. Ramona was loyally devoted to Jesus Christ and a faithful member of Grace Free Lutheran Church.

She is survived by six children, George Douglas Christiansen, Ramsey, MN, Joann Stewart, Elk River, MN, Ralph Steven (Marilyn) Christiansen, Gainesville, TX, Candice (Tom) Kosir, Farmington, MN, Rebecca (Todd) Edland, Cooperstown, ND and Jonn (Rita) Paul, Port St. Lucie, FL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jerome (Lorraine) Peterson, Moorhead, MN.

Ramona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; and a sister, Joann.

Visitation: Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.        

Funeral: Monday at 11 AM at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND with visitation one hour prior.                

Interment:  Buffalo Cemetery.
