Pamela Vetter, 45, Hunter, ND died on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018 at Sanford Health on Broadway, Fargo, ND.
Pamela Marie Vetter was born Feb. 21, 1973 at Minot, ND to James Vetter and Loreli Gerving. The family lived at Ryder, ND and then moved to Mandan, ND where Pam graduated from high school in 1991. She then graduated from Moorhead State University and later earned a master’s degree from Mary College. She was currently working toward a second masters from UND. Pam worked for the Rural AIDS Action Network (RAAN) as an advocate for social justice and was currently working at Noridian as a claims analyst.
Pam developed many close friends and relationships from living in Bismarck, Boston, Fargo and Hunter. She struggled with health issues and was bound and determined to walk again. She loved football – especially the Patriots and Vikings. Pam also loved animals, cross stitch and had an offbeat sense of humor.
Pam is survived by her fiancé, Jim Holtse of Hunter; parents, Loreli and Ronald Dykema of Linton, ND and James F. Vetter of Mandan, ND; sister, Catherine (Christopher) Binde of Fargo; grandmother, Evelyn Gerving of Bismarck, ND; step siblings, Roberta, Brett, Clinton and James Dykema; and many aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bennie Gerving, John A. and Rose Vetter.
For those attending the celebration of life, the family requests causal dress in purple to honor Pam.
Visitation: Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 1 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Linton.
Burial: St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Linton.
