Nancy Dittel

Nancy Dittel, 64, of Fargo went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 13, 2019.

Nancy was born on February 14, 1955 to John Michael and Juliana (Gardner) Dittel at St. Ansgar Hospital in Moorhead, MN. Nancy attended elementary school in West Fargo, high school in Tappen, ND, and earned her secretarial degree at Interstate Business College in Fargo. In her early years, she pitched and coached softball for the Frontier Bar and the West Fargo VFW- Even taking State in 1996.  Nancy loved her family more than anything. Abby and Chelsea were her fur babies and she loved to show them off. She took great pride in being part of Roger and Carmen Schroeder’s family helping raise Jonathan and Brady into fine, young men. She took advantage of any time she could spend time with her nieces and nephews whether it was going to their games or laughing the night away around the campfire. She loved cheering on the Bison with her sisters, Bison family and friends. She took pride in her lawn and vegetable garden and shared her bountiful harvest with neighbors and coworkers. Her great sense of humor and that twinkle in her eye were always loved and will be missed.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father, John Michael; mother, Juliana; step-father, Edwin Tweiten and sister, Linda Geist; brothers-in-law Edward James Polasky and Merlyn Geist; and nephews, Nathan Hust and Van Johnson Jr. 

She is survived by her sisters, Connie Luer, Elizabeth Polasky, Barbara (Raymond) Remmick, Glenda (Rodney) Hust of Jamestown, ND; Patricia Thurston of West Fargo, ND; many nieces and nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service:  10 a.m.  Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at West Funeral Home in West Fargo.

Visitation:  An hour before the service.
