Minnie (Havelange) Ross

Minnie Ross, 93, Fargo, ND, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at Bethany on 42nd.

Minnie Myrtle Havelange was born March 12, 1924 in Cass County, ND to Mike and Lena (Rueckert) Havelange.  She grew up and attended rural school near Chaffee, ND. On April 21, 1950 she married Earl Ross. They lived in the Chaffee – Embden area where they farmed for many years. Minnie was a homemaker and later worked for the Chaffee School District in Food Services for several years. In 2008, they moved to Bethany Retirement Living.

Minnie is survived by three sons, Mike (Julie), Breckenridge, MN, John (Merianne), Gallatin Gateway, MT, Keith (Julie), Clayton, NC; seven grandchildren, Shane (Katie) Ross, Katie (Nick) Francis, Janelle Ross, Christopher Ross, Jamie (Billy) Yates, Michelle (Gary) Trexler and Michael (Megan) Ross; five great grandchildren; and a brother, Donald Havelange.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2010; and siblings, Herman, Clarence, Lena Magdeline, Louise Loebrick, Helen Wika and Wilhelm.

Minnie loved to cook and bake and enjoyed tending her flowers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.

Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 from 6 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Funeral:  Wednesday at 10 AM at the Larsen Chapel at Bethany on 42nd, Fargo with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Casselton Cemetery.
