Michael Owen Eldevick, 71, of West Fargo ND died on July 26, 2019 at Essentia Heath in Fargo ND.
Mike was born on March 17, 1948 in Fargo, ND. He served 4 years in the Navy and on July 17, 1971 Mike was united in marriage to Jackie Sauvageau at St. Benedict’s Church in Wild Rice, ND. Mike worked for the same company, Qwest now Century Link, for over 45 years and finally retired in December 2010.
For most of his life Mike enjoyed hunting and was an avid fisherman. He liked to travel as well and took his family on many westward bound vacations. The most adventurous of which was white water rafting in Glacier National Park. In his later years and in retirement, he took up woodworking and tying flies. Which he built a "lucrative" Ebay business on. Though he was not able to go fishing much anymore, he was proud of the lures he made so that others enjoy the sport.
That, and in how he lived his life, shows how he always put others before himself. He was a good man and will be missed.
Mike is survived by his wife Jackie, of West Fargo, ND, two children: Chris (Tracy) Eldevick, of Phoenix, AZ and Karrie (Kevin) Blackburn, of Paradise Valley, AZ; four grandchildren: Leif and Emmilou Eldevick and Ava and Lily Blackburn. Mike is also survived by his three sisters: Sue (Gary) Sauvageau, Peggy Eldevick, and Liz (Steve) Holman, along with many brothers and sisters in law.
