Melissa Rogness

     Melissa Lynn Rogness, 44, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Casselton, ND on Sunday, October 27, 2019.

     Melissa L. Karczeuski was born October 16, 1975 in Faribault, MN to Michael and Judi Karczeuski. Her elementary and junior high years were spent in several states until the family settled in Wheatland, ND. She attended high school at Central Cass in Casselton graduating in 1994.  She married Jonathan Wendling on February 17, 1996 and were the parents of two sons, Austin and Langdon.   

     After separating from Jon, Melissa spent some time in Carrington, ND where she met and married Kevin Rogness on May 13, 2016.  They lived in Stanley ND until September, 2017 when they moved to Casselton to be closer to family.

     Melissa was a strong family person.  Family and especially her sons meant everything to her.  She loved life and could make a friend wherever she went. Melissa loved all children and worked in childcare for several years.

     She is survived by her husband Kevin; sons: Austin Aaron Wendling and Langdon Jon Wendling; parents:  Michael and Judi Karczeuski;  ex-husband: Jonathan Wendling; sisters: Miranda Keller and Michelle (Brian) Rurup; brother: Michael (Jane) Karczeuski the 2^nd; two nieces; four nephews and numerous friends.

Visitation: 5-7pm Friday, November 1, 2019 at West Funeral Home in Casselton, ND.

Funeral Service:  11 am Saturday, November 2, also at West Funeral Home in Casselton, ND. 

Burial:  Casselton Cemetery
