Mavis D. Snyder, 88, of Fargo, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at Bethany on University in Fargo.
Mavis Doris Snyder was born August 21, 1930, in Minot, ND, the daughter of Harvey and Mary Young. The family lived in Grand Forks for five years, then moved to Fargo. Mavis married Leon Hoggarth in 1949 and had a family of eleven children. Leon passed away in 1976. Mavis married Richard Snyder in 1977, he passed away in 1984.
She entered Bethany on University in September of 2013 where she enjoyed bingo, car races, arts and crafts, never missing an activity.
Mavis is survived by her children: Ken, Keith (Vicki), Doris Skunes, Steve (Christine), Chuck (Susan), Larry, Vicky (Dennis) Roux, Todd, Roger (Theresa) and Tracie (Corey) Johnson; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Clifford (Marlys) Young; sisters: Violet Mustane and Donna Bruse.
Preceding her in death were her parents: Harvey and Mary; infant son: Richard; grandsons: Dustin Hoggarth and Elliott Ausk; husbands: Leon Hoggarth and Richard Snyder; brothers: Orville and Lyle Young; sisters: Vivian Neeves and Imogene Fosse.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019, at West Funeral Home Chapel in West Fargo.
Visitation: An hour prior to the service
Burial: Springvale Cemetery in Fargo
