Marjorie A. Nilles

Marjorie Nilles, 96, Casselton, ND passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019 at New Perspective in Cloquet, MN surrounded by her daughters and sons-in-law.

Marjorie Littleton was  born Aug. 23, 1922 at Whittemore, Iowa to William and Harriet Littleton. She moved with her parents to Casselton in July 1940 and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. After graduation, she worked for the Cass County Farmers Mutual Fire and Lightning Insurance Company. She was also treasurer of the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters for 20 years.

On April 2, 1945, Marjorie married Armand Nilles in Casselton. They farmed in the Casselton area, retiring in 1973.  Armand died in 1997. Marj moved to New Perspective Assisted Living in Cloquet, MN in February of 2013.

She is survived by two daughters, Harriet (Bruce) Johnson, Esko, MN and Sandra (Clarence) Loesch, St. Cloud, MN; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Chris) Marsh; three great granddaughters, Brittani Romig, Mykala Marsh and Krysta Marsh; and several nieces and nephews.

Marj was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers.

Visitation: Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 from 4 to 5 PM with a prayer service at 5 PM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Casselton.

Funeral:  Monday, Jan 14 at 2:30 PM at St. Leo’s Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: St. Leo’s Cemetery.
