Our cherished mom, Marjorie Bergman completed her earthly journey of 99 years on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at Rosewood On Broadway, Fargo.
Marjorie Sylvia Anthony was born May 16, 1919 at Argusville, ND to Earl and Minnie Anthony. She was valedictorian of her high school graduating class in Argusville and met her husband to be at a baseball game. Marjorie married Philip G. Bergman on July 19, 1937 in Moorhead, MN. They made their home on the farm near Argusville where they farmed for many years. Phil died in 1993. Marjorie moved into Fargo in the late 90's and entered Rosewood on Broadway in 2013.
Marjorie especially cherished her family. Margie was an excellent cook learning her skills being a farmer's wife, cooking for threshing crews in her early years of marriage. She enjoyed tending her garden and flowers. She was also a seamstress and made her daughters clothes, prom dresses and wedding dresses. She also loved basketball - playing in her youth and watching it on television. Margie and Phil enjoyed winters in AZ, traveling and dancing along with playing cards.
She is survived by four daughters, Phyllis Kurtz of Fargo, Vicki (Gary Ficek) Bergman of Fargo, Connie (Glenn) Augustine of Lake Lillian, MN and Geri (Roger) Langseth of Fargo; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Allen Anthony of West Fargo; and several nieces and nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Debra Kathryn Weaver; and three siblings, Evelyn (Walter) Brauckmuller, Junior "Sonny" (Ann) Anthony and Beverly Reisinger.
