Louis “Buzz” Marick, 76, Fargo, ND died on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Louis F. Marick was born Sept. 22, 1941 at Breckenridge, MN to Clemens and Carlotta (Peterson) Marick of Kent, MN. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1959. He served in the US Army and worked in the lumber mills in Northern, California. He also farmed with his father and later drove for Silver Line Boats. Louis married Constance Softing on Aug. 24, 1967 in Webster, SD. He worked for Northwestern Bell, US West and Qwest until his retirement. After that, he worked for the county, drove truck across the country and lastly he delivered caskets for Aurora.
Buzz enjoyed fishing and collecting John Deere toys. He also learned to appreciate technology and was often found on his computer and checking Facebook.
Louis is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Dawn (Darwin) Garman, Danita Marick, Lori (Brian) Rudolph and Coni Le (Lloyd) Teske; a “second son” Jason Jaeger; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Vaughn(Bob Nelson), Kathi Bates, Carolyn (Arvin) Leabo and Vonnie (Wade) Hansen; brother-in-law, Tony (Teresa) Softing; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Darin; his parents; mother and father-in-law; twin brother and sister, Ronald and Jean; and granddaughter, Miranda.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018 at 2 PM at West Funeral Home Chapel, West Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior.
