Loralee June Bloom, 53, of St. Paul, MN, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at The Pillars Hospice Home in Oakdale, MN.
Loralee was born January 11, 1965, in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Marvin and Darlene (Spitzer) Bloom. She attended elementary school in Bismarck. In 1977, the family moved to Valley City, ND, where Loralee graduated from Valley City High School in 1983. She furthered her education by earning a degree in history from Moorhead State University and later becoming an archivist with a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Loralee was currently employed as a librarian at the St. Paul Public Library.
Loralee loved music, singing in choirs and vocal ensembles, and all kinds of dancing. She was an amateur archeologist and enjoyed researching history. She was a master gardener, an active volunteer, and a fluent Spanish speaker. She enjoyed camping and road trips and an active lifestyle. Loralee especially loved time spent with dear friends and family and her cats.
She is survived by her parents: Marvin and Darlene Bloom of Valley City, ND; siblings: Jeffrey Bloom of West Fargo and Tamara (Arne) Bloom Steen of Fergus Falls, MN; nieces and nephews: Emily Bloom, Hope Bloom, Seth Bloom, Jackson Bloom, Samuel Steen and Jacob Steen.
Preceding Loralee in death were her grandparents: John & Louise Bloom and Reynard & Minnie Spitzer.
Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Baldwin Cemetery, Baldwin, ND.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Unity Unitarian Church, 733 Portland Ave., St Paul, MN 55104.
