Linda Rieniets

Linda Rose Rieniets of West Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice.  Linda fought a long courageous battle with cancer.

Linda was born on February 15, 1956 in Crookston, MN to Ronald and Rosemary (Walsh) Stinar.  She moved to Jamestown early in life and grew up there before moving to West Fargo in 1969.  She graduated from West Fargo High School in 1974.  On June 13, 1975 Linda married LeRoy Rieniets at Blessed Sacrament Church in West Fargo and they spent the next 42 years together. 

Linda worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield after high school before moving to Crawford Insurance for 10 years.  In March of 1990 she went to work as a legal secretary for William Guy III first at Gunhus Law Firm, then Vogel Law Firm, and later Fredrikson & Byron.  She was with F&B until December of 2016 when she was no longer able to continue to work due to complications from her cancer but was always considered an employee.  Linda loved her job and those she worked with, especially her dearest friend Kathy Sandford.

Linda enjoyed spending time with family playing games, cards or just visiting.  Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and she loved every minute she spent with them, especially baking and sleepover nights which could only be complete with milkshakes, popcorn and a movie.  She and LeRoy loved to travel, taking cruises or going with their children and grandchildren on vacations around the country.  Each of their adventures is remembered in another love of hers through scrapbooking.  Those trips and family times are treasured in albums and calendars she created for her family.

Linda is survived by her husband LeRoy and three children: Christopher Rieniets, Carrie (Matt) Warren, and Andrew Rieniets along with grandchildren Cooper, Chloe, and Kennedy Warren all of West Fargo.  Linda is also survived by her father Ronald Stinar of West Fargo; three sisters: Wanda (John) Caron of La Quinta, CA; Cheryl (Bob) Abelmann of West Fargo; Laura (Doug) Roerick of West Fargo; one brother Cory (Connie) Stinar of West Fargo; sister-in-law Shannan Stinar of Jamestown, ND; and extended family including Mother-in-law Agnes Rieniets, John (Peggy) Rieniets, Larry Rieniets, and Lisa (Paul) Montplaisir along with many beloved nieces and nephews.  Linda is preceded in death by her mother Rosemary Stinar, brother Timothy Stinar and father-in-law Kenneth Rieniets.

Visitation:  5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 2017, followed by a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND

Mass:  10 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in West Fargo.

Burial:  Holy Cross Cemetery-North, Fargo
