Levi Burd

Levi Lynn Burd, 34 of West Fargo, was invited into Heaven by our Lord on Wednesday July 10, 2019.

Levi was born on December 12, 1984 in Crookston, MN to his parents Sarah and Terry Burd. He was raised in both Nebraska and Minnesota, but most of his childhood was spent on the farm near Shelly, MN where his love of farming began. Levi attended Climax and Norman County West Elementary and graduated in 2003 from Norman County West High School. He pursued his passion for mechanics at Wyoming Technical in Laramie WY, and after graduation he moved to Fargo to begin his career. After starting with A-1 Automotive, he moved to RDO, first in Lisbon and then in Kindred, to work on the farm equipment he loved.

In 2008, he married the love of his life Erin Strahm of West Fargo, ND on September 13. This union was blessed with 3 children:  Bentley, Brennan, and Bristol who were the joy and center of his life.

Levi built his love for farming into his very own business and worked very hard to provide for the future of his family. With that, he still found time to enjoy ice fishing, hunting, baseball, and anything outdoors.  Most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. 

Levi was a friend to everyone he met and loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his grandma Jane Harger, grandfather Paul Burd, uncle Russ Sandberg, cousin Tyler Sandberg, and several great aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his loving wife Erin, his children Bentley, Brennan, and Bristol Burd of West Fargo; his parents, Sarah (Bill) Harder, Crab Orchard, NE; Terry (Kathi) Burd, Ada, MN; father & mother-in-law Dan (Ruth) Strahm, West Fargo, ND; his grandma Marjorie “Marge” Burd, Halstad, MN and grandfather Larry Harger, Madrid, NE.   Also by his siblings Luke (Heather) Burd, McIntosh, MN, Lydia (Jon) Paulson, Sterling, NE, Joseph (Jeremy) Olson, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law Danielle (Julian Andersen) Strahm, Fargo, ND; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many great friends.

In lieu of flowers, please send a memorial to the family which will be used to set up scholarship funds for his children.
