Keith A. Schoon

Keith Schoon, 75, West Fargo, ND died on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019 at Eventide in Moorhead, MN.

Keith A. Schoon was born Sept. 27, 1944 at Ashby, MN to Ernest and Bertha “Peggy” Schoon. He graduated from Fergus Fall High School and served in the Air National Guard for 10 years. Keith married Carol Stromberg on Dec. 11, 1965 at Harwood, ND. They made their home in Harwood until moving to West Fargo in 1985. Keith worked in manufacturing and later at Stop-n-Go Stores. He was most known and loved by many through his favorite hobby as the “Bike Man.”  He also enjoyed helping others, hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by two daughters, Kirsten (Keith) Pettie of Fargo and Susan (Timothy) Moody of West Fargo; three grandchildren, Lauren (fiancé Thomas Grissom)Pettie, Elijah Pettie and Bryer Moody; brothers, Ervin, James (Judy) and Billy (Bev); and several nieces and nephews.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Gary; and sister, LaNore Hanson.

Visitation: Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

Funeral: Monday, Oct. 7 at 11 AM at Liberty Lutheran Brethren Church in Fargo with visitation one hour prior.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Harwood.
