Keith A. Raedel, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 18, 2019, at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo, ND.
He was born February 17, 1953, in Grand Forks, ND, to Walter “Walt” and Sigvei Johanna “Jo” (Fossum) Raedel. He moved with his family to Thousand Oaks, CA, in 1962. In 1971, he graduated from Thousand Oaks High School. He moved to Fargo, ND, in 1981. On June 8, 1985, he was married to Linda Hamann. Together, they had three children. The majority of his working career was spent doing construction; specializing in siding, roofing, windows, and doors. He was well known for the exceptional work he did and always took pride in a job well done!
Keith truly lived life through simple pleasures. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, showing off his moves on a dance floor, and spending time laughing with friends and family over a few Coors Lights! Keith had an uncanny ability to make everyone smile and was known for telling a good joke! He truly was a “give the shirt off his back” kind of man.
He is survived by his sister, LuAnn (Joe) Ruchman; ex-wife, Linda Raedel; sons, Garrett and Logan Raedel; daughter, Meghan Raedel; granddaughter, Penelope Wilson; special friend, Theresa Olson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walt and Jo Raedel; and sister, Cheryl Engelker. Per Keith’s request, a celebration of life will be held in lieu of a traditional funeral.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2019, from 1pm-9pm at Oak Grove Park in Fargo, ND. All who would like to celebrate Keith’s life are welcome to join for a fun filled day in Keith’s memory!
